About Us

In 1969, our journey began with Frank Anthony Masiello joining Davis and Geck, a renowned suture manufacturer, as a territory sales representative. This marked the beginning of his career in the medical tech industry.

Three years later, in 1972, Frank moved to American Cyanamid, a larger medical tech corporation, where he served in various sales and sales management roles. This experience provided him with valuable insights and further honed his expertise in the field.

In 1973, Frank joined Zimmer NYC, a local distributor of orthopedic products, with a focus on medical marketing in the Greater New York City area. Over the next decade, Frank dedicated himself to Zimmer NYC, contributing to its growth and success.

A significant turning point came in 1976 when Frank Masiello acquired the Zimmer NYC distributorship, establishing Zimmer Masiello. This marked the beginning of a fruitful 10-year partnership between Frank Anthony Masiello and Zimmer, which was later acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb. During this period, Zimmer Masiello experienced remarkable year-on-year growth in revenue, income, market share, and territorial presence.

In 1986, Frank took a bold step and left Zimmer orthopedics to establish his own independent medical device distributorship company called Frank Masiello and Associates. This move allowed him to pursue his entrepreneurial vision and create a company centered around his values and expertise.

The early 1990s witnessed further growth and development for Frank Masiello and Associates. The company expanded its operations and ventured into new product lines, including Misty Soft, Misty Bracing Sofmor, Danek/Medtronic, and TMI Medical Manufacturing. These expansions helped solidify the company’s position in the industry.

By the early 2000s, Frank Masiello and Associates had come into its own. It successfully introduced innovative products like Kirschner Wire, American Medical Specialties, Pyramid Service, Nuell, and Brasseler. These additions further enhanced the company’s reputation and customer base.

In 2008, Frank Angelo Masiello, representing the next generation, joined Frank Masiello Associates, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to the company. This marked an important milestone in the company’s generational continuity.

Continuing its trajectory of growth and adaptation, Frank Masiello Associates went through a series of transitions in 2010. It expanded its product lines with Nuell, Brasseler, Kinamed, Medical Facets, Soule Medical, and DeRoyal, solidifying its position as a leading medical device distributor.

In 2017, the company took a significant step forward by establishing Masco, Inc. Frank Angelo Masiello partnered with Frank Masiello Associates to drive further growth and expansion in the industry.

By 2018, Masco, Inc embarked on a start-up phase, introducing new partners such as Microaire, Key Surgical, Soule Medical, Kyra Medical, and Asculap. This period marked a renewed focus on innovation and diversification.

Unfortunately, in 2020, the company faced the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and Frank Anthony Masiello, the company’s founder, passed away. In the face of adversity, Masco, Inc persevered, acquiring the assets and client base of Frank Masiello Associates, ensuring the continuation of its legacy.

In 2023, Masco, Inc underwent a transformation, changing its trade and marketing name to Masco Medical. This rebranding reflected the company’s expanded offerings, including new product lines and services. Masco Medical experienced growth in its client base, reaching beyond its traditional focus on the New York City Tri-state area.

As we look towards the future, Masco Medical is poised for continued success and innovation. The company remains committed to providing top-quality products, expanding its footprint into new territories, and anticipating the evolving needs of the medical tech industry. With a legacy built on a foundation of dedication, expertise, and adaptability, the future of Masco Medical holds limitless possibilities.
